What we store
- Account: username, password (stored only as a salted hash), name, e-mail, mobile number, and the sign-in method (password or Google).
- Study data: your quiz progress, bookmarks, flags and wrong-answer list (cloud backup), weekly-set attempts and scores.
- Written answers: PDFs you upload for subjective questions, plus marks and feedback.
- Payments: transaction ID, remarks and the payment screenshot you upload, and whether it was approved.
- Notifications: a push-notification token, only if you turn notifications on.
- Activity log: administrative actions on your account (for example approvals), used to run the service.
- Error reports: if the app crashes, a short technical note (which page, which error, app version and browser type) is sent so we can fix it. It contains no answers and no personal details.
Where it lives
Your data is kept in a Google Sheet and Google Drive folders owned by the person who runs Abhyas, and is processed by Google Apps Script. Only that person and the admins they appoint can open it. Sign-in with Google shares your name and verified e-mail with us. Page assets load from Google Fonts and public CDNs. We do not sell your data and show no ads.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Backup → Your data on the server. You can reset your progress everywhere, or delete your account. Deleting an account removes your login, progress, payment record, weekly-set attempts and written answers, moves the files you uploaded to the Drive trash (permanently removed by Google after about 30 days), and replaces your username in the report and activity lists with “[deleted user]”.
If you cannot log in, e-mail abhyasbymku@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
Keeping your data, and who this is for
Your progress and account are kept for as long as your account exists, so you can restore them on a new phone. Payment records are kept as long as they are needed for accounting. Activity logs are trimmed from time to time. Delete your account and the data described above is removed.
Abhyas is made for adults preparing for public-service and engineering exams. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account. There are no ads, and nothing is shared with advertisers. The Terms of Use explain the rules of the service.
